P6 Activity Week

This week our P6s have had an outstanding week and have been an absolute credit to our school!  On Tuesday we participated in problem-solving and team building activities with outdoor instructors and also learned about and participated in the sport of lacrosse with our very own Miss Taylor.  On Wednesday we went to Fordell Firs in Fife – crossing on the new bridge – and took part in activities such as caving, climbing, archery, grass sledging, challenge courses and bushcraft.  On Thursday we had a wonderful day at Bridge 8 on the canal taking part in various water sports, mountain biking, archery and bushcraft.  Finally, on Friday we had sessions on parkour, athletics, football and fencing.  The weather was incredibly kind to us and we had a truly magnificent week!  Thank you so much to all our parent volunteers who helped – and had lots of fun too – and also the P6 staff.

Maths Week Scotland

Here are some photos of children hard at work during maths week.

Parent Teacher Consultations

We have made a change to the appointment system for Parent Consultations this session. We will shortly be sending out information on how to go online and book your appointment using school interviews. Many other schools are already using this programme with great results. Keep an eye out for the Parent Mail at the start of next week and in the meantime have a look at the web link below.

Loose Materials

Could we please ask you to remind your children not to use the Loose Materials in the playground before or after school. Using the materials without supervision can lead to injuries to children and damage to the materials.

The next PTA is on Tuesday 26th September at 7.30pm in the staffroom.

School Photographer

The photographer will be in school on Tuesday to take individual and family photos.
